Summer vacation soccer

Spontaneous football in the summer of 2023 AFC Eskilstuna and Eskilstuna United start a collaboration during the summer to activate the city's youth. The idea of the project is to be out in different areas of Eskilstuna throughout the summer to encourage young people to move and work together as a team. We want to create a safe summer activity for the city's young people together with adults. An activity filled with joy, community and football. We plan to jointly offer spontaneous football in Årby, Skiftinge, Lagersberg, Fröslunda and Brunnsbacken for eight (8) weeks this summer. This means that we will visit each area one day a week for eight weeks and hold a total of 40 spontaneous soccer sessions during the summer. We primarily target those who are a little younger, but everyone is of course welcome. The hope is that as many young people as possible will want to meet us and play some football and then we think it is good that we do this together, to be able to attract everyone, regardless of gender identity. AFC Eskilstuna and Eskilstuna United will also offer drinks and fruit to the participants. Both associations participate with players from both A-teams and academies who are good role models. Extra effort ÅrbyAFC Eskilstuna and Eskilstuna United are at Årby IP every Friday between 10.00 and 15.00 during the summer to be longer in the area. There have been approx. 30 young people on site on each occasion so far during the summer and we have done activities such as spontaneous football, Frisbee throwing, speed shooting and more. The focus has been on team spirit and cooperation. We have also invited all participants to grilled hamburgers and chicken burgers, which has been very much appreciated. It has not been at all unusual for the participants to receive three hamburgers each to replenish their energy, which has been necessary after all the running. AFC Eskilstuna has lined up with both leaders and the older people from our academy to be able to have plenty of adults on site. Eskilstuna United has also been on site with academy players. In order to enable this type of activity, we as an association depend on help from our business partners. All our community projects are presented by Terra AB, SSG, Best Bemanning and Eskilstuna Rekarne Sparbank. In addition to these fantastic partners, the summer holiday activities are presented by Eskilstuna Municipality (Culture & Leisure) and Eskilstuna Municipal Corporations (Eskilstuna Energy & Environment, Eskilstuna Logistik, KFast and Destination Eskilstuna) Large thanks to all our business partners who make it possible for us to hold this kind of activity.
